After a long work day, my spouse and I loaded up our two small kids and drove from MS to test drive a specific van. Our salesman, Daniel, was extremely friendly and personable, answering all of our questions. Ben, one of the managers, was also great and very accommodating. Both men did everything they could to help us get the best deal on the van. The staff stayed late, ordered us a Pizza, and even played cartoons on the big TV in the lobby to keep my two year old was entertained. Negotiations and paperwork took quite a while, as we were there until after 11pm. But the staff didn't seem bothered. The crew even stayed late to put one last shine on the van, detailing it out for us! We would definitely recommend this dealership and would love to buy from them again! Thanks, Honda of Slidell!
Having a tough time giving more than two stars, Honda of Slidell had me wait a couple hours to do all the paperwork to complete the sale. I had previous plans for dinner and left before finalizing the sale. David Gunn called me and offered they pay for dinner if I could come back in. I agreed and have not yet seen reimbursement for the meal three weeks later. Multiple calls and texts on my part and all kinds of excuses from Honda. Today I got the ol "checks in the mail" routine.
The process was 5 plus hours. 3 hours longer than it should have been because we already knew what we wanted.
The biggest disappointment came when they did not honor the online thousand-dollar bonus to my trade in for Mardi Gras day.
I called to see if they actually had the car in stock that I saw online. They said they did.. I mentioned to Regina that I had $1,000 online coupon which I save to my phone. I asked if it would be honored if I came in today. I was told that yes, She checked with the manager and He said yes they would honor it if I came in that night.
After negotiating and dealing on the price. . I asked about the discount . The salesman asked if I would email it to his manager. I did that at that time. . But they would not honor it or apply it to my trade-in. I bought the car for my daughter. She was not feeling well but was with me the entire five and a half hours.
I don't know what the delay was with the manager. Our sales person would go in and out and come back and tell us that he hasn't even started on ours.
At the end of the night. My daughter got the car she wanted. And she got to ring the bell.
This is my second Accord.
I bought a 2014 Honda Accord from Superior across the river. After spending two hours at this dealership and basically being ignored on a Saturday in 2014....
I thought I'd give them a try.
I have used the service department on several occations with other vehicles that I own.
My opinion of this dealership has not changed.But, I believe in shopping local and it is close to my home.
