Art & Vicki’s the Dock: Where You’re Treated Like Family

In 2017, Arthur and Vicki Gutierrez worked diligently to bring back The Dock, a staple that’s been popular amongst Slidell residents and visitors for many years. They rebuilt the business the old-fashioned way, keeping the spirit of the original restaurant alive.

When you visit Art & Vicki’s the Dock, you’ll be treated like a member of the family. Each staff member exudes warmth, graciousness, and integrity in their work. Therefore, you can enjoy the kind of quality customer service that you deserve.

You’ll also be treated to tasty and fresh south Louisiana seafood. While there are lots of great dishes to choose from, we recommend getting the Catfish Pontchartrain. Fried catfish is placed over cheesy potatoes, topped with Creole crawfish sauce, and served with a side of seasonal vegetables.

Fatty’s Seafood Restaurant: Built by Seafood Lovers for Seafood Lovers

The concept behind Fatty’s Seafood Restaurant began in 1979, when Pete Amadeo Sr. turned his abilities to fish and throw a cast net in Lake Pontchartrain into a family business.

The name comes from the fact that people who love seafood love it fat: fat crabs, fat oysters, etc. You’ll certainly find that here, through their tasty menu. Here’s just a sample of what they have to offer:

  • The Fat Cat: Crawfish étouffée served over rice and topped with fried catfish.
  • Cap’n Fatty: Catfish, shrimp, oysters, crab cake, stuffed shrimp, and a soft-shell crab. Served with fries, hushpuppies, and Texas toast.
  • Fatty Feast: One snow crab cluster, one Dungeness cluster, and one-pound boiled shrimp, served with corn and potatoes.
