Honda of Slidell partnered with One Way Love to host a Career Day and fundraiser. One Way Love is a local nonprofit dedicated to helping at-risk youth in the community find safe housing, receive life essentials and education supplies, get access to mental health and mentoring programs and additionally support single-parent households. The Career Day hosted by Honda of Slidell allowed youth to shadow and be mentored by staff in the Finance, Sales and Service departments. Career Day also coincided with a fundraiser where Honda of Slidell helped to raise $1,500 for One Way Love.
Honda of Slidell has partnered with schools in the St. Tammany Parish school district to host Career and Mentor Days. Students are able to shadow employees in the Finance, Sales and Service departments to learn more about individual roles in each department, teamwork, professionalism and have the opportunity to ask employees questions about their careers.
