Opened in the fall of 2003, Lazy Magnolia is the first packaging brewery to open in Mississippi since prohibition hit in the early 1900s. Naturally, their brews quickly became a local favorite. First making their way to restaurants, bars, and retailers in the surrounding Southern states, their beers can now be found as far away as Colorado or New York.
Each brew is steeped in a love for the land and community that the brewery grew from. Their Southern-inspired beers are made with care and quality ingredients, pairing perfectly with the hospitality, culture, and tastes of the South.
Lazy Magnolia brews a wide variety of craft beers that celebrate their home tastes while appealing to all palates. Beers are divided into distinct series, each offering a unique take on celebrated beer varieties.
Their Welcome to the Porch series features sessionable, easy-drinking beers for that warm, summer afternoon kickback. With brews like their refreshing and fruity Grapefruit Radler or their award-winning Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale, it’s hard to not appreciate the appeal of the porch.
The Back Porch series is meant for moments shared with close friends, generally characterized by higher alcohol content and unique flavors. These include a New England style hazy IPA, a sour gose style ale, and a rye Imperial IPA.
Their Debutante Series features a selection of one-of-a-kind creations such as Stella Obscura, a stout aged for a year in bourbon barrels atop Madagascar vanilla beans. Additionally, Lazy Magnolia offers 12-packs featuring their seasonal offerings.
Lazy Magnolia also specializes in handmade pizza pies to complement their delectable brews. Their dough is made with pure filtered rainwater and made fresh, then cooked at high temperature in their oven for perfect dough development and classic flavor.
They serve standard pies like pepperoni or cheese as well as specialty pies including standouts like the Devil made with pulled chicken, jalapeno ranch, and buffalo sauce or the Capitan made with homemade garlic cream and alligator sausage and lightly dusted with Old Bay.
Lazy Magnolia also offers small plates such as house meatballs in marinara or roasted local mushrooms topped with bacon and garlic. Desserts include mini cookie dough calzones and popsicles from Pop Brothers. Finally, they offer a brunch menu for their weekend Eggs & Kegs events.
