The New 2023 Honda Odyssey
Adding a New Trim to the Odyssey Lineup
The last time Honda redesigned the Odyssey was 2018, and the fifth-generation styling still stands up today. However, for 2023, Honda added a new Sport trim and made a few subtle changes to the minivan that has been popular for nearly 30 years.
If you’re in the market for a spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped minivan, we invite you to visit Honda of Slidell in Slidell, Louisiana, to experience the 2023 Odyssey for yourself. We’re confident you’ll see what the fuss has been about since it debuted in 1994.
Premium Interior Features in All Trims
The 2023 Honda Odyssey interior is filled with premium features. The three-row minivan has up to 158 cubic feet of space when the second and third-row seats are folded. Depending on the configuration, the Odyssey seats up to eight people, and the Odyssey features the removable Magic Slide second-row seats that fold forward and backward.
The base trim is the EX which comes standard with power-adjustable front seats, cloth upholstery, tri-zone automatic climate control, and push-button start. It features an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and a seven-speaker audio system.
Buyers only need to move up one trim to get more luxury features. The EX-L has leather seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a power liftgate, a moonroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and more USB ports.
The Odyssey Sport trim has red interior LED lighting, body-colored side sills, and gloss-black 19-inch wheels. The top trims, the Touring and Elite, have more entertainment features like a 10.2-inch rear-seat infotainment system, a third-row USB port, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and CabinWatch and CabinTalk. The Elite adds heated and ventilated front seats, blue LED interior ambient lighting, and an 11-speaker premium sound system.
A Confident and Capable Powertrain
The comfortable family-oriented Odyssey models come with a smooth and capable powertrain. All models have a 3.5-liter V6 that delivers 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The EPA-estimated fuel economy is 19/28 MPG. Drivers cannot yet buy a 2023 Honda Odyssey Hybrid, but the automaker is adding more hybrid models to its lineup.
Honda adds the Honda Sensing Safety features to all Odyssey models. This suite of driver-assistive features includes Forward Collision Warning, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Stop-and-Go Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Road Departure Mitigation, a Rearview Camera, and Automatic High-Beam Headlights.
